The piece begins with an eerily captivating Violin solo, followed by dissonant and microtonal interjections from the cello and clarinet. The piece continues to swell to a breaking point before unexpectedly dropping to a whisper. This calm is short-lived, though, as the ensemble abruptly explodes into a frenzy of chaotic improvisation and angular melodies. Finally, after a final burst of loud and disorienting noise, the piece ends quietly with an air of uncertainty
